Key Responsibilities

I am jointly responsible for the phonetics and phonology strand of the integrated speech and language therapy degree. I am module lead for Deafness & Hearing Impairment at level 5. I am primarily responsible for year 2 acoustic phonetics and advanced year 3 teaching and assessment. I also make an on-going contribution to the development, delivery, assessment and student support and supervision across a range of programmes in HSC.

Until recently I was responsible for the strategic leadership of the education provision, pre- and post-registration, UGT and PGT, in the School of Health Sciences. 

Key responsibilities

  • Member of the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences Appeals and Complaints Panel; HSC Board of Examiners (BSc Therapy provision)
  • Member of the Royal Marsden School Board, and member of Council of Deans of Health
  • On-going development and delivery of Phonetics and Phonology teaching, assessment, marking & moderation for BSc (Hons) Speech & Language Therapy programme; assessment activity in other pre-registration programmes in HSC; student support as Personal Adviser (pre- and post-registration students)
  • UG dissertation supervisor - group research projects
  • PhD supervisor
  • Chair of external validation / approval events with UEA Partnerships
