I have joined NBS as Lecturer in Finance in January 2018. I obtained my BSc in Business Administration degree from Hacettepe University and MSc in Economics and Finance degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After a period in the industry, I started my PhD research at Bangor Business School in February 2013 and defended my thesis in August 2017.

I work on topics in banking, corporate governance, and corporate finance. My recent projects focus on the effect of information advantage of bank senior managers and CEO's on performance and risk-taking and also investigates to reveal which CEO power variables that influence the likelihood of committing and detecting bank fraud.
