Academic Background

Key Research Interests and Expertise
I have a broad range of research interests, and some of the key interests include perceptions, emotions, stress, and psychological contracts. I’m also interested in the macro-environmental factors influencing employee ethical and unethical work behaviours.

My Ph.D. research focussed on examining how the integration of economic and cultural contexts influences the way in which employees respond to psychological contract breaches. Through two meta-analyses, I addressed how the economic context and how the cultural context of a country influences the relationship between the psychological contract breach and work outcomes at the individual level; and by conducting a survey, I explored whether employees’ reactions to a psychological contract breach can be understood from a workplace dignity perspective.

Another research project includes:
The evaluation of stress and gender
