Academic Background

Stephanie is an early career researcher, and Lecturer in Health Sciences. In 2017, Stephanie moved to Cambridge to work as a post-doctoral Research Associate within the Behavioural Epidemiology programme, at the UKCRC Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR; University of Cambridge). There, she led the process evaluation of a school-based intervention aiming to increase youth physical activity.

Stephanie’s work adopts a socio-cultural perspective, using qualitative, and mixed methods research approaches to understand how social and cultural interactions and activities influence development and health, and to unpack evaluation measures.

Stephanie’s interests include health promotion, in particular the implications of social networking site use, public health, and social determinants of health. Stephanie’s role at UEA is also aligned with supporting Widening Participation, including access, success, retention and progression for the School of Health Sciences.
