Biography

Beccy Collings joined the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities in 2014 to teach on the Humanities Foundation Degree programme.  She holds a PhD from the University of East Anglia (‘Shedding Light on Dark Comedy: an examination of humour and aesthetics in British Dark Comedy television’), a BA (hons) in History and an MA in Media, Culture and Identity from Roehampton University, and a PGCE (Post-compulsory Education and Training).

Since 2005 she has worked variously in Further and Higher Education as a Lecturer at Truro College (Classical Civilisation and History), Associate Tutor for University of Plymouth Colleges (Foundation Degree History, Heritage and Archaeology), and Associate Tutor for the University of East Anglia (School of Film, Television and Media Studies).
