A Lecturer and Researcher in Organisational Behaviour and HRM and member of the Employment Systems and Institutions group within Norwich Business School. Research interests centre around employee behaviour in organisations, the design of work and the ways organisations influence worker behaviour.

Doctorate in employee proactivity in inter-organisational working, a First Class degree in Management, specialising in soft systems theory, and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

My interest in organisational behaviour stems from nearly 20 years working in organisational change wth management consultancies Cap Gemini and Ernst & Young and as a consultant to central governement.  Much of that work involved designing and implementing situation-appropriate interventions to facilitate organisational change, tailored to culture, appetite and capability. This field of work allowed me to experience organisational dynamics first hand, across sectors such as manufacturing, insurance, engineering, utilities and the public sector, in the UK and Europe.
