During specialist training I obtained the postgraduate research degree Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2007 with the Thesis “Healthy Ageing: Determinants and Outcomes of Functional Health in EPIC-Norfolk”. I trained in Clinical Epidemiology in Cambridge and Norwich and completed higher medical specialist training in March 2008 with accreditations in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine with sub-specialty in Stroke Medicine. I took up my current position in April 2008. I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Edinburgh in 2010.
