Biography

I was appointed by NBS as a lecturer in Banking and Finance in October 2015. I hold a BA in Banking and Finance from Bangor University, and an MPhil in Real Estate Finance at Cambridge University. Upon completion, I then worked as a Research Assistant and Student Liaison Officer at Bangor University. After starting my PhD at Bangor, I worked as a graduate tutor delivering modules in the area of Banking, Finance and Econometrics. Between 2012 and 2015 I taught Business Studies for smaller groups (at A-level) for a Foundation Programme run by Trinity College, University of Dublin.

Recently, I have defended my PhD thesis (completion within three years). My research encompasses empirical investigations related to recently introduced credit rating agency (CRA) regulation and its effects on financial systems, with particular interest in Europe. I evaluate whether regulations achieve their aims, or whether they lead to unintended consequences.
