Biography

Patricia González-Peña is a PhD researcher under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. She works as a part of the DComm ITN, an interdisciplinary project for the study of deictic communication, alongside Dr Martin Doherty, Dr Andrew Bayliss and Prof Kenny Coventry. Her project focuses on the acquisition of spatial language and its relationship with spatial cognition and theory of mind.

Patricia obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2009 at the University of La Laguna, Spain. Before resuming her academic career, she worked with children and adults with developmental and mental disorders in both educational contexts and residential and home care. In 2016, she obtained a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Special Educational Needs at the University of La Laguna, before joining UEA for her PhD.
