Philomena is an applied economist/data analysis with nine years’ experience in academia both teaching and undertaking research. Her thesis is an econometric evaluation of the housing and mortgage markets of England and Wales. She has collaborative publications in a variety of fields (health, climate change, ecosystems, finance, economics) with over 50 co-authors, where her main role has been involved with the collection and analysis of data. She has worked on a number of high profile projects: EUROVAQ; NEA-FO; EU FP7.  She has experience working in the financial services sector as a Statistical Analyst, where she developed intertemporal models to predict asset prices across geographical locations in the UK. She was involved in data collection for Ipsos-Mori and Kantar World-Panel as a Field Interviewer and played a significant role in the UK 2017 Election Exit Poll. She has publications in international journals and is an academic referee for a number of international journals. Her current role within the School of economics is as the Laboratory for Economic Decision Research (LEDR) Lab Manager.
