Nalini Boodhoo is Professor of Language Education in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning.

She has held a number of responsibilities including Head of School (2010-2016), Course Director for the Secondary PGCE course, and course leader for the Modern Foreign Languages Secondary and Primary PGCE course. She has taught on a range of undergraduate and post graduate taught courses.

Nalini supervises MA, MRes, Ph.D and Ed.D students in the areas of second language teaching and learning, language policy development and teacher education.

Nalini is currently a member of UEA’s Council. She is also a member of the Editorial Board for the Cambridge Journal of Education.

Before joining UEA she taught for several years in secondary schools in Manchester, Sussex and Kent and was a Head of Department, New Teacher Induction Coordinator and a School Governor.
