Biography

Michela is doing a Phd as an Early Stage Researcher within the Marie Skłodowska Curie ITN DComm grant, working with Prof Kenny Coventry, Dr Irene Sperandio and Andrew Bayliss.In this project, she is investigating deixis in healthy and stroke patients and its connection with space and handedness.

 Before moving to UEA (2016), Michela was an intern at the ImpAct, Centre de Recherche en Neuroscience de Lyon (CNRL), where she worked studied prism adaptation long-term effects in healthy subjects. Michela studied cognitive science at the University of Turin (Italy), and there she worked with patients and healthy subjects using TMS as a rehabilitation and/or research method to better investigate brain areas involved in space elaboration and sensory/motor disorders.
