Dr Lucill Curtis is Lecturer in Marketing, within the Marketing group at Norwich Business School. Prior to joining the Faculty of Social Sciences at UEA, on 1 September 2017, Lucill spent four years teaching at Essex Business School. Prior to that she worked within marketing communications management for more than 16 years, within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector principally and as a marketing consultant, where she achieved seven industry awards for excellence in PR, marketing and management. 


She lectures and teaches seminars across marketing and management modules for undergraduates and postgraduates, including: Principles of Marketing, Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing and Social Media. Her current research interests relate to the management of social media in the B2B sector, including: the nature and context of digital marketing as a form of identity work for marketers, that takes place during interactions with various stakeholders. She has also published from her Master’s research which focussed upon strategy and marketing within business schools. Details of her publications to date can be found on:

Lucill holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature, Postgraduate diplomas in Journalism, PR and Education, and an MBA (distinction) for which she received a Chartered Management Institute Award in 2012. Her PhD focussed on digital marketing, specifically social media management in B2B organisations. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). She is also a member and communications lead for the eastern regional board of the CMI.
