Key Research Interests

Lee is a member of the Sport, Health and Education (SHE) Research Group.  His research interests lie in the area of physical education pedagogy, with a particular emphasis on health-related policy and practice within the physical education curriculum and the promotion of healthy, active lifestyles in young people.  Lee’s most recent project investigated teachers’ and pupils’ perceptions of the delivery of health-related exercise in physical education.  Current projects include the quality of teacher-pupil relationships, the development of pupils’ health knowledge across the transition from primary to secondary school, and the evaluation of a capoeira education project.
