Luca Rocchigiani received his master (2007) and Ph.D. (2011) degrees in chemical sciences from the University of Perugia, Italy. After a post-doctoral position in partnership with the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI), in 2015 he joined as a Senior Research Associate the School of Chemistry at the University of East Anglia, where he has been appointed as Lecturer In Inorganic Chemistry in 2019.

His research interests are focused on the investigation of bonding and reactivity of organometallic compounds relevant in homogeneous catalytic transformations and small molecule activation reactions. He is also interested in the application of NMR spectroscopy to the study of supramolecular properties of molecular aggregates and ion pairing effects.
