Academic Background

Jacob studied an undergraduate degree in Computing with Electronics, and a PhD in Computing entitled, "Language Identification Using Visual Features". He has worked in the areas of speech recogntiion, computational biology, and most recently, medical computing. Jacob currently works as the Senior Research Associate on a project funded by the Medical Research Council to develop a device and associated computer algorithms for assessing patients with dizziness: The Continuous Ambulatory Vestibular Assessment (CAVA) project.
