Biography

I completed my BA degree in Culture, Literature and Politics at the UEA (2008-11 – First Class) and my MA in Media and Cultural Politics (2013-14 – Distinction), before starting my fully-funded doctorate with joint supervision between the Schools of Education and Lifelong Learning and Politics, Philosophy and Communication and Language Studies (2015-2019). In between and during my studies I have worked in two secondary schools: firstly, as a learning support assistant, and secondly, as the first academic mentor in a new free school in Norwich, where I established and developed a mentoring programme for both lower school and sixth form students.

At the end of February 2019, I joined the Centre for Competition Policy at UEA as a Research Associate. I coordinate consultation responses written by Centre members to regulators and government departments. I support several Centre academics working towards submitting their REF impact case studies.

Since February 2020, I am the Project Coordinator (Senior Research Associate) of the Brexit and Environment Network. I manage communication and social media of the network.

I have previously taught many modules on media, politics, education and theory across the Schools of Politics and Education as an Associate Tutor. I currently lead a seminar on the Public Relations, Public Affairs and the Media.
