Initial training as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in Friern Barnet School of Nursing London 1982 – 1985.
Moved to St Luke’s Hospital, Muswell Hill London to work in the Specialist Behavioural Psychotherapy Unit with Vic Mayer and Ted Chesser.
Worked as Community Psychiatric Nurse in Suffolk and Norfolk and as an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist from 2000 - 2012.
My specific areas of interest are in promoting rigorous assessment processes, developing warm therapeutic relationships, cognitive behavioural and behavioural psychotherapy, spirituality, and developing a deeper understanding of the recovery journey for service users from both a philosophical and practical perspective.
