Cathie Carmichael teaches the History of the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean. She is on the International Advisory Board of Europe-Asia Studies. She would welcome applications from research students who are particularly interested in studying national identity, cultural history or the history of violence in the Balkans and/or Eastern Mediterranean.
