Academic Background

Aimie joined the University of East Anglia in 2019 as Senior Research Associate working to support the delivery of a trial assessing digital quit smoking support. The Quit Sense Feasibility Randomised Control trial is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR17/92/31).

Aimie is interested in applying psychology to address environmental, technological, and health related challenges.

Previously, Aimie has held a number of postdoctoral positions having worked as: a Research Fellow at the Inspiration Trust on a Department for Education funded project (Strategic School Improvement Fund); a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey at the Centre for Research in Social Simulation (CRESS) on the EPSRC funded WholeSEM project (Whole Systems Energy Modelling Consortium); and as a Research Associate at the University of Bath on the EPSRC funded WholeSEM project (Whole Systems Energy Modelling Consortium).

Aimie holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Sheffield.
