2021–present Research Fellow, University of East Anglia (UEA): CANDIFLOS and Arctic Cylones.

2017–2021 Senior Research Associate, University of East Anglia (UEA): CANDIFLOS (Characterising and Interpreting Fluxes Over Sea-ice) and IGP (Iceland-Greenland Seas project): developing numerical model representations of momentum, heat and moisture exchange over sea-ice through aircraft observations we have obtained from Arctic field campaigns and NWP model simulations.

2015–2018 Scientist, Met Office, Exeter: Atmospheric Processes & Parameterisations: Developed the capacity of the Met Office Unified Model to reproduce mountain gravity wave processes and clear air turbulence for civil aviation.

2013–2015 Research Associate, UEA: ACCACIA (Aerosol-Cloud Coupling & Climate Interactions in the Arctic).

2009–2013 PhD, UEA: Polar Föhn Winds and Warming Over the Larsen C Ice Shelf.

2008–2009 MSc Atmospheric Sciences (distinction), UEA. Dissertation mark: 90 %.

2004–2007 BSc Geology (first-class honours), University of Birmingham (UoB). WonShotton Prize” (highest overall mark in all degree programmes in School, UoB). Won “Geology Prize” (highest overall mark in Geology, UoB).



2016–2021 I have contributed to six research grants including two as researcher co-Investigator, two of which as have been successful, bringing in a total of £954k. I have an independent fellowship grant for £680k currently under review.

2016–2021 Several invited seminars and talks including at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2021, the Royal Meteorological Society, British Antarctic Survey, and a keynote talk at The Met Office.

2021 Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.

2020 Elected to the Program Committee of the 2021 International Conference on Alpine Meteorology.

2019 Invited role as leader of the Mountain Waves and Dynamics working group for “TEAMX”: a major international research programme endorsed by the World Climate Research Programme.

2013 Best student talk prize at the International Conference for Alpine Meteorology
